s3:// is live!

After waiting MANY months, I emailed the addons.mozilla.org editors again and this time they approved the extension! You can download the extension from addons.

I love Amazon's S3, but I really dislike many of the interfaces to it. To that end Yosh and I (with help from Joshua) worked on creating a protocol interface to S3 for Firefox/Flock. This means you can access your buckets, browse and upload using your browser with URLs like s3://ec2-downloads or s3://twitter_production/deleted_users/.

Now that the hurdle of the first approval is finished (I submitted it back in April :( it took them over 5 months to approve this extension), I hope improvements to s3://'s project page and the extension itself come at a faster pace.
