Book Burro Updates

While I've been busy working on Flock, I've managed to squeeze in a few hours to make some cool improvements to Book Burro. Also I've started a book burro blog for people who want to keep up with updates without reading my ramblings on amazon's ec2 or building trivial osx applications. I'll try to keep cross posting to a minimum so if you want both, subscribe to both of them.

Now of the exciting news! I just released an update that provides really nice integration with Open WorldCat.

Specifically (using your zip code) Book Burro retrieves a list of the closest worldcat libraries holding the book.

Another cool web service I'm working on is BookMooch which is a book sharing site (that description doesn't do it justice so go check it out and they will do a better job of explaining.) Currently Book Burro can do a "moochable" call which lets you know if the book is available, but there is work underway to support the rest of their API (adding to your wishlist, ownership of the book, ...)

That's all for now, time to get back to work on Flock. Lots of cool stuff coming there as well!

Jesse, I was really pleased to see that you finished 2nd in the recent OCLC Research contest: http://www.oclc.org/research/announcements/2006-09-28.htm (...and I sent this to your mother-in-law as well, since she and I used to work together when I was still at Taylor!)
