CNN doesn't get the NET

If you were trying to use the net this early AM, you probably ran into issues. I unfortunately deleted some files I had manipulated and then was going to do svn update, but the SVN server in California was unaccessible from here. I hopped on irc.freenode.net and went to ##level3 to read about level3 and then verio crashing. I'm not a network person, so I couldn't follow it all, but I respect what lilo and a bunch of the techs from the peer 1 networks where talking about. So, they decide to call up CNN to tell them what is happening, the response:

[03:57am] lilo: godsmoke called cnn -- they had their tech guy "check it out" -- "there's nothing wrong with the net here, can't be too major" he said

They had a story handed to them by those who know what is going on by being able to log into the routers and check everything out, but . . . Great going CNN. You can already see blog entries about it though. On the plus side, I found out about Internet Health Report, which is pretty cool.
