Rails Lesson Learned

Sun, 05 Jun 2005 google maps rails rails day comments

Britt, Chad (Hurley), and I spent the last day working on our entry for Rail's Day.

We decided to build a real time game using on top of google maps. Extensive use of Ajax, javascript, google maps and heap tables.

We also learned A LOT about what not to do when you need high performance.

In the end it works pretty good when in our office for a few users.

Where the game is? Maybe you want to add it to the Games on Google Maps wiki page? http://moloko.itc.it/trustmetricswiki/moin.cgi/GamesOnGoogleMaps
