New Server for Userscripts.org

Userscripts.org (a Rails project) is getting close to half a million hits a month. It has outgrown the hand me down box it currently running on. We are debating which server to purchase - currently we are thinking a Dell 1850 - with RAID5, 2GB Ram, 1 Xeon CPU 3.2Ghz. $1600 or so at dell. Honestly I hate hardware - so if you have recommendations for a better monster Rails server we would love to hear them. We perfer rack mount for flexiblity (as we can either host at our rack or in our server room at the office.) AMD based for bonus points. (we use linux/bsd as the OS)
